Dude, that's awesome! I tried to mess with blender but I just can't figure out the user interface. But now I have 3ds Max. How long did it take you to make this, and have you been doing 3D graphics for awhile? I'm just getting started and the most I can do is make a balloon, but I can't get the textures and lighting right

How long did it take you to make this, and have you been doing 3D graphics for awhile? I'm just getting started and the most I can do is make a balloon, but I can't get the textures and lighting right

This took me like 3 days, But most of that was taken up rendering the scene a hundred times.

I have been doing it off and on for a few years but really only started getting serious like a year ago (when I got a computer that could handle it) but mostly have been trying to learn character modeling, which hasn't been going that well yet, the stuff in this scene I started learning how to make ~ 2 months ago but it takes awhile to get it to stay in my head.

For the lighting I used several sun lamps put into groups for use on separate objects (the tree needed a MUCH brighter lamp then everything else).

Anyway, Glad you like it!

I've been learning some from this website http://cg.tutsplus.com/ they have a couple of tutorials on characters and what-not

one of my friends works with corridor digital and freddiew and does special effects, and they use a lot of 3d modelling so i've been learning some from him. hopefully i can get good enough one day to work with them XD
