I have a graduation speech I am working on, and I would like some advice on what to change
Good afternoon fellow graduates, faculty, friends, and families. It is my honor to stand before you today, 13 years after this amazing journey began. I know it has taken a lot of work to get here, and I would like to congratulate you all on getting here. So many of you have made a difference in my life, although the majority of you will never understand how. My fellow graduates have shown their leadership in making themselves positive role models for the rest us and the future graduates of Perry High School, and I would like to thank all of you for that. I am very appreciative to all of the teachers and administrators for providing a positive foundation for us to prepare for our futures. Each and every class has helped me to grow not just academically, but as a person, and that means a lot to me. Of course, none of us would be here if it were not for our family and friends, who have inspired us and kept us going along the way. So, I would personally like to thank you all. It is so nice that you all have taken time out of your busy schedules, so of you traveling vast distances, to be here to see us off.
I have so many found memories of this place and I am sure we will all miss our time at Perry, even if some of of refuse to admit it. But with this feeling of uneasiness at leaving behind what has become our second home, I am sure there is anxiousness in all of us at the future that awaits us all as we walk out the doors today and move on to new chapters in all of our lives. I know that there is a daunting amount of work ahead of all of us whether it be in college, the military, or something entirely different, but I know that you all have it in you to accomplish everything you put your mind to. Therefore, I challenge you to make the most of your lives and do all of the things you have dreamed of throughout your life, but have been too afraid to do until now. We all have made plenty of mistakes, especially me, and I hope none of us repeat them. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors, and I thank you all for listening to me.
Any help is welcome!!!
