Yeah, probably not real. Although the theory behind it is feasible, but also some parts are completely made up.

You could put little electromagnets (unpowered) into balls and have them create this "stringing" effect that they got. The main magnet would induce a current in each of the smaller ones, but then they'd get repelled if they weren't perfectly alligned and start doing all kinds of crazy shit.

The impossible: Getting anything attracted by a magnet to hang below the magnet like that. Magnetic force goes by distance squared so if the balls got one tiny bit too close they would all run up and stick to the main magnet like white on rice. Also, it looks like they imply that they could disable the magnet from pulling on certain colored balls which couldn't happen. Large magnets and computer circuitry don't mix.

It is a cool ass video though.
