I don't know how we lived without the internet.

Talk about random stuff that has nothing to do with TF2 or other games.

I don't know how we lived without the internet.

by VoltySquirrel » Tue May 10, 2011 9:39 pm

Since Saturday, I haven't had an internet connection at my house. Thus, no TF2, not CSn. Still no internet. The best I can do is stealing my mom's iPhone of sneaking off to the library to use a proxy to get here to post. Anywho, I cannot describe to you how bored I have been. Although I've been encouraged to play other games I either didn't touch or hardly did, the lack of TF2 is the worst. Can anyone find a way to cheer me up?

You know. I lived most of my youth without the internet. (My Dad is Hispanic, the stereotypes are true, they are secretly Jewish)

Anyway! I read books. I have many suggestions for some great reads!

Do you have any console games you've been meaning to catch up on?
That's what I do when my Internet is down or tied up.

Well, like I said, I have been playing games I haven't been able to, like Super Meat Boy, the Humble Bundle games, GTA4, etc., but I really miss TF2.

Here's some suggested reading: Season of the Sun (太陽の季節) by Shintarō Ishihara. (You should be familiar with this author by now :P )

Back in my day. We didn't have the internet. At least not like you whippersnappers. We waited 5 minutes to get online. And then we'd have to deal with creepy people in chat rooms. So we said fuck it. Then we'd go outside. Look at this thing called the Sun, and stayed outside until the street lights came on. We didn't text each other to see if anyone wanted to hang out. We just hung out. If you showed up cool. If not, oh well. And the cool people had pagers. The first text message was 80085.

You should be. I see coral, fishys, sea cucumbers, and all kinds of other cool shit. I should be getting scuba certified sometime later this year. I would recommend snorkeling in the Great Salt Lake, but its yucky in there.

SHOULD be, but...... Yeah, I know, "Your wasting an opportunity Volty!", but I haven't gotten around to the cultural stuff yet. I mean, we JUST now got a pair of Shisas, but trust me, I'll get to it.

He's the governor of Tokyo, known for being a gigantic windbag. He was responsible for the infamous Tokyo Youth Protection Ordinance that essentially banned most anime and manga.
