Perspective on government spending.

We all know the economy sucks. We hear about how the republicans want to slash government spending. They don't want to raise the debt ceiling. Let they did with Bush 6 times. Now they're fighting to cut 60 something billion from the budget. Not fixing any tax loopholes. Not taxing the rich properly. But cutting social issues during an election season. Planned Parenthood? They had 8 years to do something about that. Never did. They were in control. Didn't need to.

Anyway.
Fail's plan to fix the budget.
Cut 187 billion dollars from military spending.
That leaves 500 billion to scoot around with.
That's still more than the other 9 top 10 counties combined.

Perspective. We pay a Halliburton contractors in Iraq 153 million dollars a month for fuel. Nearly 1/2 is profit.

Perspective. We spent 16.6 billion dollars for contractors to build military buildings in Iraq/Afghanistan since 2006. Previously the Army Core of engineers handled this. Would have cost less than 1/15.

Hell, I bet you could just audit the dept of defense budget and come up with $75 bil just by eliminating accounting problems and regulating purchases.

This chart makes me rage:

Our defense/military budget is way too bloated.

I think we need to cut military everything. If we focus on defense and not world domination our deficit will not be so bad. Do we really need to be in hundreds of other countries around the world? Also, politicians shouldn't be paid as much or serve as long. Being a senator, congress person, or other political figure was never supposed to be a full time job. Serve (volunteer work) your term and get the fuck out.

If we cut military spending, then the terrorists win.
