At around noon, I got an email from BP. It basically said, he was getting messages from me that I didn't send. I went to go check shit out and, sure enough, someone changed both my email and password linked to the account. I'm waiting on getting an email back from Steam Support. So I guess I won't be playing for awhile.

Hate those scammers. Note to anyone in general:

Whenever you get a link to a steam community page, make sure it ends with steamcommunity.com and that it's signed by Valve if it presents a login page. If the link links to streamcommunity[.]co[.]tk or something (removing dots so that I don't link to their page) it's not steam and you should GTFO that page and report the user on steam. If it happens to be a friend of yours, try to contact them via some other means and let them know.

And if you haven't verified your email on steam yet, you should do it now. You can do this through the Settings panel in steam. It will help if you get hacked.

hey volty sorry buddy , the same thing happened to maybe 10 friends of mine before. Steam got them all back within 48 hours. I'm glad they didn't get your email too, because they phish from your email too

This has happened to a good many that I know.

I would suggest you change the password of any account you have, anywhere really, that uses the same password as the one that was compromised.
