Ask a debt collector

Pretty much I'm jumping on board...mainly because I know a lot of you have debt and probably wonder how you can cut it in half.

I work for a large credit card company, and moved into a sort of management position, so I know the ins and outs of what you'd need. Ask away.

What tropical locale would one have the best chance of evading federal agents? ..Purely hypothetical situation.

I'm with Discover Card (so bank).

If you charged up a lot of money smeemo and you're wanting to avoid it, really any place other than the US is a good place to be. Mainly because the costs supersede your debt in most situations. Besides, a company drops off a debt to another company in 210 days or the end of the month (which ever is sooner), and when that happens you have a better chance for settling it on .35 to the dollar.

I have a card with the with zero balance, so now I'm trying to get those bitches to lower my interest rate. They keep offering to extend my credit limit instead. Why would I want a higher limit when the interest rate on it is like 27%?

Never close the card it will hurt your credit. Just never use it, and open up a new one. You'll be put on an introductory rate. Another option is to be Late once. You won't be reported, but if you play hard ball enough you could be lowered to a 9.99 percent for a year. It's a good option since there are no repercussions from it. Reminder: your credit goes down the closer you are to your limit, so if they were to increase the limit then it only helps.
