500$ sounds a bit high if all you're going to do is run a 26 slot TF2 server. My server (named Mr. Server) is a P4 and it can handle 20 players just fine. I'd say more in the range of 300$ myself, but that leaves little room for putting more on it.

You also might want to check that you're allowed to run a gameserver with your ISP. In rare cases it might be blocked for residential internet. I know my provider blocks web server hosting. The important ports are around 27000.

sorry i didnt make it clear. but i want this tf2 server to be located in hawaii, it would be the first one
