Spiced Tea recipe

by HibiscusKazeneko » Thu Feb 10, 2011 4:03 pm

Hi, if you were playing in the Slaybox last night and wanted to know what I was talking about when I said I wanted more spiced tea, here it is:

Spiced Tea mix recipe
2 26 oz. jars Tang*
1 3 oz. jar instant tea
1 packet lemonade Kool-Aid
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 tsp. ground allspice
2 tsp. ground cloves
2 8 oz. packages redhots**

Just mix these up in some type of container. Stir 3 spoonfuls of the mixture into a mug of hot water and you've got yourself a drink worthy of kings. I was drinking the stuff while playing last night but couldn't get up to make more; that's the reason for my lament.

*The recipe card says 2 26 oz. jars, but they don't come in that size anymore (only 20 oz.) You may want to get the big jar (I didn't check to see how many ounces it was).

**I was unable to find these at my local grocery store (had to use a bag from I-don't-know-how-long-ago). If you can't find these (they're sometimes called "cinnamon imperials"), chopped Hot Tamales will work.

He does, that is where he used to live.

Which is odd, considering living in the southland basically implies a like for iced tea.

OK, here's a picture of the end result:

I'm posting this because GoDM1N sent me a link to this video, and he didn't quite understand the instructions I gave.
Not bad for a first try, anyway. I might try his variation sometime ;)

The nikujaga looked nommy, too :3

PS that character in my name you probably can't see is the Apple logo. It can be found on this page in the second-to-last box, eighth row from the top, on the far right.
