Hello everybody, your (maybe) favorite Moose here. I was wondering: which one do you prefer more? Reddit or Tumblr, and why?

I'll get right on it. I prefer Reddit because there is an infinite amount of subreddits to go to, people creating them everyday, and it's easy to search for in the sidebar. Meanwhile, for tumblr, it's as if you have to follow people to get stupid but interesting info, like twitter.

What do you guys think?

I only read ThatGuyTagg reddit posts, cause he is a cool guy. So is his 3 year old followers. My Idol. Kinda like Burt Reynolds but really not. Also its getting colder outside. Hmm, its Friday tomorrow, thats nice.

2006-2010 Reddit was awesome. It's still great, though lately I only use it to read/discuss lore in games I'm playing. That's been MGS5 lately, because wow; this game is loaded with all those hot subtle lore bits.

Tumblr. I have never been on that site other than from an accidental click, and it somehow installed its toolbar onto Chrome for me a couple times on occassion. That's probably what turned me away. I'm sure its great for what it does.

Really, people just seem to get behind either, both, or neither, and continue the never ending debate of "which site linked it first."

Now Imgur... I could spend quite some time accidentally going down that rabbit hole if I'm not careful

It hasn't happened in a long time. I think back when, tumblr had a thing where they would sneak it onto Chrome with freeware if you don't remember to uncheck the box when installing.

I'll just wait for someone to link something from Reddit that was posted to Tumblr that was posted to Tumblr again and shared by a friend on Facebook, that I will filter unless it has anything to do with food, cats, space, game, or coffee.

Tumblr is okay regarding content. I used to have one but I really didn't like the community. With reddit but you can easily find things through subreddits and avoid nonsense. Attempting to search anything on tumblr results in well... Porn for everything. Taking the time to find good people to follow is also a pain making it pretty hard to find good content.

I'd have to agree with disengage though, imgur is the way to go.

Are we going to ignore the fact that reddit looks super old and bland. I also know a lot of people who got scared off because the website looks kinda sketchy. Even the CSN website looks better than reddit.

Yeah, but that's the case with most popular internet forums and discussion boards, like 4chan or the TF2 Forums on Steam for example, where you can generally find people who try to bait others into arguing on threads like "lol guys pairoh iz ohpee pls nerf XD". When you get to the barebones of it all, it's just people similar to you who are generally trying to talk about stuff relevant to their interests and/or shoving their opinions down your throat.

I agree with mudkip. Reddit looks like frikkin Word document mixed with Excel.
And I dont use either, unless I search for help getting stuck in a game or whatever and reddit have come up as the first option I have checked it out but 99,9% of the time I choose a specific forum in this matter.
But the text setup and the plain paper site are boring as hell. Its not easy to read at all.
What is Tumbr? If I dont find what I need on google, I have no need for the other ones.

And what I've heard 4chan and reddit atleast have the most fucked up ppl and the majority of them are raging squeekers and lots of trolls and ppl that dont know anything about the subject in general.

Examples:
1. If I have a questions about watercooling I will go to a forum that actually know shit about watercooling, not reddit.
2. If I have a question getting stuck in Witcher 3, I will go to a Witcher 3 forum, that actually know about the game.
3. what do ppl use reddit for? Chatting?

If I want trolls in my daily basis I just read youtube comments. I try to talk to ppl enough there.

But for those ppl who use Reddit or Tumblr for whatever reason. Good for you.

I will never use it though.
And im happy that ppl here use it so I dont have too. When shit about CSn happens, banning some random dude raging about me and CSn about it on reddit.
I would never know about it if not ppl here didnt use Reddit, so thanks for that :mrgreen:
