As many of you know, I am an Army ROTC Cadet. I am in my last year of training and college, and yesterday I just learned some very big news about my future.
I now know what I will be doing when I commission, as I was just told what unit I will be part of. I will be a Cavalry officer in the National Guard.
I am extremely excited for this. I've always wanted to go into the Guard, and Cavalry was my top choice. Cavalry falls under the Armored branch, so when I go for my branch-specific training (called BOLC) some time after I commission, I will learn the ins and outs of tanks, humvees, and all of the Army's vehicles.
I'm just really excited and I'm looking forward to what the future holds. I wanted to share my good news with my good friends here at Critsandvich.
