Galaxy s2 or iPhone 4s?

I've decided to get a new phone (Old one was a crappy ancient phone) and I've narrowed it down to 2 phones.

Android Galaxy S II and iPhone 4s.

Which one?

My Fiance and I have been using the first Galaxy S for about a year now and we haven't been too impressed. It seems to crash a lot, the touch screen has gotten very poor on both of ours, it often freezes when getting calls, and we had a software update that we installed that bricked both of our phones. It's possible that the new Galaxy improved upon these problems, but depending on the upgrade, I'll probably skip out on the new one.

As far as android vs apple goes, it depends on preferences. Android if you like free apps, apple if you like the brand and from what I've seen, be more stable.

Depends on your carrier. But id get the galaxy 2 or a nice droid.

Me and the missus recently switched to T-mobile and got Galaxies. Best decision ever. But keep in mind. I mostly use my phone to make calls. I refuse to text people back. And don't play games on it. But I pay less than 100 bucks for 2 phones now which is nice. If you have a Costco card go there. The S2 was one cent with 2 year agreement. And you get a goody pack. (charger, bluetooth, screen armor ect.)

I'm mainly worried about the how reliable the Galaxy s2. I like the open source nature of the Galaxy s2 (and all android phones) but I'm not sure if it glitches or has any significant drawbacks (like build quality n stuff). All my friends tell me to ditch the Galaxy for the iPhone 4s but I'd really hate to go that route because of that damnable iTunes software. My computer runs windows and iTunes is slow as shit.

Another question, is the music player any good on the Galaxy? TBH, that's a big deal for me (big music lover) and I just hate iTunes so much (due to past experience with the iPod).

Ive been using androids for a while, and just got a new phone (Evo 3D) and chose that over the 4s. Androids will always be better than iphone theyre update more frequently, and theyre already working on quad-core processors for next years androids. the Galaxy S2 is fast as F♥♥k not to mention the Amoled Screen is just amazing and the size of it is great. Big ass screen on a super thin and light phone. Id recommend it.

Iphone is pretty terrible imo, it might be because I have an Ipad that I don't care about it. I have a Nexus which is similar to the galaxy in minimum ways. I love it in all honesty, the only problem is I do have to restart it once a week because it starts to freeze up a little.. I've heard a lot of smart phones need that restart to refresh. So, if that is the case I strongly recommend the galaxy.

I dont really like the shape of the At&T S2 compared to the Sprint one. At&t one is square at the edges while the Sprint one is round. But its still an amazing phone.

Also, the Galaxy is Samsung. Which means its build quality is higher than Apple. I've been using a low end Android for about 6 months now and love it. I've been able to install a lot of things (Eg I can play Pokemon as well as other gameboy games with no problem) you wouldn't be able to do without jail braking a iPhone which is a big deal to me. Go with the Galaxy, you'll be happier in the long run.

I've got a Thunderbolt and I love it. The 4G service that Verizon has is really fast. If I'm getting a good connection, it's about as fast as my home internet connection.

Here's one thing though, it's not the best phone if you have small hands. I have giant paws, so I actually like it better since it makes it easier to type shit with my big thumbs. I can't do that on an iPhone. But, if you have smaller hands like my roommate, then you might want to go for a smaller phone. Although if you're going to get a 2 year contract, just switch to Verizon and get a 4G phone. The equivalent 4G iPhone isn't going to come out for a while.

But seriously, Verizon is expanding their 4G coverage faster than Kim Kardashian gets married. When I started looking at a 4G phone they had service in like 15-20 cities. Now it's pretty much in any urban area.
