I know this can be annoying and Texas can be stupid, but you have to have some respect for the US Goverment, talking about how much the US sucks just shows you're spoiled.

US Government is driven by conflicting interests and the invisible hand formed by the constant struggle between people of differing factions. If they actually stopped complaining and just decided they were okay with whatever happened to them, their government would lose a huge amount of its checks, and they'd wind up with a 3rd Estate nightmare developing right in their midsts.

So, talking about how much you don't like certain policies the US government has enacted, or how you think the governing system needs reform, is what keeps the country running. If you ask me, people who think it's "spoiled" for those in a representative democracy to exercise the right to influence their govorning body through political speech are ignorant.

While we should express how we feel about the place we live, if it's going to be an entirely fruitless exercise, it might be more productive to move to a state that enjoys the values that you do?
