""""Edits all around:::
10 years ago, my old band hit it's prime. Along with SquirrelMstr, we spent a few years trying out singers and watching 2nd guitarists fail at fitting in.
Things were different back then. Most bands, at least here in Chicago, were following the pop-punk, hoobastank, early emo bs. Or rap-metal, kornish mindless droptuned garbage. Thoughtful faux-semi complicated rock just wasn't in the cards. But it was a whole lot of fun. The early 'aughts in Chicago were wonderful to us. Sadly my bad attitude was the downfall (as always.) And no one wants to sit listening to a vocal-less band tool around for 45 minutes. Looking at what's going on today. We were a few years ahead of the times.
Ironically the only surviving recording is Bitter. Which kinda fits into the whole arc of the band. Looking back on it, if the singer didn't write that to relate to me, it certainly fits now. This was the first song we ever wrote together, and didn't get lyrics until 2-3 later. He was the last singer that attempted the band. We continued on as an instrumental project.
Every other piece of media was lost in an apartment fire a few years back. I moved out of state, trying to make it out west, and the bassist had a bought of really bad luck. I know there were several videos, and other random recordings on things called cassettes.
So, take a listen. When it's not 1 AM I'll write a bit more.
Think the band was around for 3-4 years. In that time we went through 7-9 singers, and 10 various other members.
