New York's so iconic there's not much you shoot that hasn't already been captured either in direct image or spirit. While anyone can argue that the birth of street photography happened anywhere, it was certainly present in New York in its adolescence, adulthood and subsequent death from popularity. That tends to make walking around as a photographer frustrating, so after a few hours I simply put my camera up and just went around as a tourist. I was lucky enough to have some old friends living in the city that helped guide me to the tastiest eateries and the easiest route to a concert venue in Brooklyn. Fun times.
