This song was made by Les cowboys fringants, a Quebecer band. They are also known as The Dashing Cowboys though they aren't as popular with English speakers.
Plus rien (or Nothing Left if you translate the title of the song) tells the story of the last living human on Earth. During the song, he (the man) remembers stories of what life used to be on Earth before humans polluted everything and ultimately caused their own extinction. He remembers his father that died really recently, he thinks about how there is nothing left of human society and then dies at the end of the song.
Ironically, the character of this song is right. Since he, the last man, dies at the end there REALLY is nothing left of humanity. :/
