Rules:
You must play in HLstats Slayboxes and obtain a rank
of top 100 or better during the contest dates. The contest will end in
July. Prize winners will be chosen at random with the following
bonuses for higher ranks:

Top 1 - 10 = 10 chances to win
Top 11 - 25 = 5 chances to win
Top 26 - 50 = 2 chances to win
Top 51 - 100 = 1 chance to win

How this works:
If you have a rank of 1 thru 10, your name will be entered 10 times in
the drawing. 11 thru 25 have 5x to win...etc. On the last day of the
contest, the winners will be entered and the drawing will be made.
You will have one week to claim your prize. If you do not claim it,
it is forfeited. The prizes will only be traded to the account with
the same unique steamid as listed on the hlstats list. Any players
deemed cheating will be removed or disqualified. This includes the
use of cheats, exploits or schemes to gain points in a way that gains
an unfair advantage (a spy working with an engineer sapping and
removing sappers for instance). Consider this your warning for
cheating, you will be disqualified. All admin members of CSn
(except for red admins) are eligible to win. If they hold a rank of 1-100
their spot will not be reclaimed from lower hlstats positions.

So what I am seeing is, the more you play the game actively, the more kills you get, though this impacts points received, because you will obviously die because you are in the thick of the fray. But the more you stay behind and assist your team, the more points your receive. So pushing the objective is detrimental to gaining points? HLStats you crazy.

So, during setup for thundermountain stage one, I spammed vacci ubers for 40 points. At no risk, I was able to pull off 40 points worth of ubercharge shields during a long pre-round setup.

Well we aren't because Engies don't get any points for essentially anything anymore.

More though the Vacc spam is a problem> Also the fact that the server is now like 90% squeakers and random obnoxious newbies.

And also, some admins are obviously making a conscious choice to exploit the vacc point gain pre-match. You don't just have that many ubers in the course of a few days normally.

It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I see people legit trying to rank up for this contest, and theres a few people (Especially those that should be the representatives of the community) exploiting something to rank up at an accelerated rate.

Yeah the tryhard lvl shocked me a bit, I havent tried so hard since last time and think it was 2 years ago. Kinda fun actually to try hard for once lol

They tryhard level did not shock me at all.
Although disabling the pre-round uber spam might be worth looking into...

You have no idea. I live further north than Orlando, but today is 93 degrees and 60% humidity (Feels like 106). Tomorrow is supposed to be two degrees warmer and about the same humidity. @_@
