Mood Lighting AKA Dynamic Environment

There will be a lot of large pictures in this thread.
Image

It was brought up in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=6058, a 'what if' the maps could do more. Well I've been working on it for a couple days. Different servers have had mixed results. Mostly because I don't really know what I am doing. And we use both Linux and Windows to host servers. And they create mixed results between the OS's. We also had a little snafu in the westbox last night because of it. (dark_rush)
Keep in mind:
1) This a non-download MOD
2) It does not effect materials, characters, FPS, lag, brushes or entities... It was noted that some things disappeared for someone while the mod was running last night. All this mod does is effect the lighting, the env_sun, and skybox. Materials or props disappearing are a known bug in the current TF2 build on SteamPipe. ala: http://i41.tinypic.com/33ze887.png

Here's a comparison. Same settings, different servers:
Westbox:

Slaybox 1

When the mod is properly functioning and 'liked' we will move forward a bit. Currently there are 5 times of day (morning, daytime, dusk, night1(sorta dark) night2 (what's posted above.) The Chicago boxes are reading the time properly and adjusting, but as mentioned above, it's not changing the maps properly. The Westbox is changing the maps properly, but it's not reading the time to change the maps. It sticks to whatever the last time stamp was.

That was exactly what a ment! :D Different lightning etc on stock maps, cause It should not make the load for them with bad connection take much longer right? Lets do it! Random If it is possible. Morning, midday, evening and night.
Can it be made?¿ Anyhow, I vote for yes!

This is awesome Fail. So depending on the time of day the sky in the server will change? Let's say I play at 8am, and then i play at 8pm, daytime vs night time? That's amazing.

I can reverse the orders. so daytime on slaybox 1 and night on slaybox 2. There are a lot of funky shit happening with the mod still. Either Finger or Benny are going to have to suss it out. I've done all I can.

This looks better on the chicago servers (linux) than the westcoast. The west coast server (windows) is a lot darker

I like the sunrise/evening environments- not so much nighttime.
I deal ¹º² Damage with my favorite gun.
I also spend way to much time on the forum.
