Hey look. A paid to be there trailer on one of Youtube's biggest gaming advocates. That's what they want you to think of Nether. What is Nether? By the trailer, a hybrid of The Last of Us and DayZ. It's funny that the character in the trailer doesn't actually exist in the game. Part 1 of taking from WarZ. Now that beta footage has been released. Oddly none of the screenshots from the game seem like they could actually exist in the game. IE photoshop doctors. The best part? LLC's be damned this is brought to you by the same people that made WarZ.
Nether is the latest entry in the ' let's cash in on the fact DayZ hasn't been released yet.' A survival-find-loot-MMO-FPS-cluster-fuck. When you break it down. It's honestly the WarZ all over again. An unfinished game that has no chance of ever being fixed. This time with money from WarZ to fun the use of the Unreal Engine.
You are in a massive city with loot, other players, and totally not reskinned clickers from The Last of Us. The first major problem in the game. If you look into the city everything is rendered. Making it nearly unplayable on the best machines. But wait there's more!
Currently the game in Beta and will be released at the end of the month. Ergo this warning. You can pay 30 or 50 dollars for this game. But that doesn't get you the game at least not entirely. Taking from WarZ, we got microtransactions... Lots of them. And they pretty much copied a ton of 'features' from WarZ. From the inventory screen, to character creation, to how you pick up loot, or how you deal with the baddies. It's all the same. Granted the city is nicer looking, but it's also a buggy mess. As to be expected.
This guy won't quit trying to cash in the survival MMO. Don't fall for it. When I get more time I'll expand this article. ( Looking for screens Ect.)
