Although I am very new to the game I'll try to review it. Guns of Icarus is a multiplayer game about zeppelins that battle to protect their ship and cargo. There are many kinds of zeppelins to choose from in the game with many kinds of guns to mount on them. This is a seriously addicting game is you must have good communication with your team to success in this game.

In the original Guns of Icarus, airships were a new technology. Guns of Icarus Online is set a decade later, and the flying war ships are abundant. That's where you and up to three friends come in. You'll choose one of four different classes of airship and then take on the roles of the Captain, Engineer, and Gunner. Working together, your team will take on up to eight other airships in PvP battles, battles which require a level of teamwork and communication loosely reminiscent of classic Tank, DPS, and Healer RPG squads.

Early zeppelin concepts.

Heres how the classes work:

Captain: You control the ship. You command your crew and lead them to the enemy ships. Each class comes with a Mallet/Wrech to rebuild/repair broken things on your ship.

Engineer: You are the one running around the place pounding your hammer or wrench to repair the ship. You must keep all parts of the ship alive so it will work properly. Occasionally you can ho on a gun and help your fellow Gunners out. Your team mus communicate to you in case you miss a certain place to repair. Your team is dependent on you.

Gunner: You control the guns and try to find the enemy ships and mark them (all classes can do that). You are able to select from a big range of bullets that will please you, from bullets that do more damage to bullets that explode on hit. You are in charge of destroying the enemy ships.

In a interview with a Muse games Developer of the game.

"In connection with the previous question, the class mechanic seems to be a big part of Guns of Icarus Online. What impact will choosing a class have on your playing experience and what were your thoughts behind creating a class system for the game?"

One of the games we enjoy playing in the office regularly is Team Fortress 2, which we think is an excellent example of a game that does classes really well. For a team-based game, it’s crucial to accommodate different styles of play and give each role an essential and distinct part to play in the team effort. If there’s overlap of roles, or everyone can do every task, then the distinctions fall away and the game loses its flavor, with the strongest players often dominating and steamrolling over everyone else. Separation of roles allows team members with different play styles and abilities to all contribute without stepping on each other’s toes, and we think our roles of Captain, Engineer, and Gunner accomplish this well.

In my opinion, Guns of Icarus online is the most fun and most addicting MMO I have played in a very long time. The game is extremely fun if you communicate well, you will just kick ass if you do. For a $4.99 Indie game, its hella worth it and hella fun! :D
