Moment of just sayin': republican convention; god; hurricane

by Failhorse » Mon Aug 27, 2012 10:03 am

OK so hurricanes are tragic. We all know that. And not just because humanity still hasn't learned from the Romans and moved major cities above sea level. Or when Republicans decry for government money to fix their state. This is not the issue. Just a preface.

Let's do an imaginary flip here. Let's say the Democratic convention was coming up in Miami. Some douche would make the talking point " god doesn't want the democrats getting together" " this is a sign they will lose the election straight from god" ect ect. If you get into politics at all, you'll get what I'm saying.

But when it happens to them. Silence. Nothing tragic or wrong, in the eyes of god, ever happens to Republicans. Why? Because we are not sick like them.

Except what I just said. Not saying it's god. It's just fun to point out hypocrisy.

discuss.

I was thinking the same thing. If that were the Democratic national convention getting hit by a hurricane, then some asshole like Pat Roberson would comment on how he thought God was punishing Democrats for blah blah blah...

"Climate change isn't real!" the horrified Republican shouted into the wind, his voice lost as the entire GoP Convention was washed away like so much debris.

Oddly enough, here in Tampa FL, the local democratic liberal radio station I sometimes listen to was making fun of the convention in regards to the hurricane. Except they werent using God. There are also some protests here saying how its nice of the hurricane to come around and should wipe out the GOP. :/
And these protests outside the convention are not nice at all, its a very ugly picture of the no toleration, non conforming, extremely radical left side. I prefer the radio anytime, because at least the liberals on there have the decency to a nice debate except when they reported on how some say it would be nice if the hurricane would destroy the GOP convention.

So yeah, everything isnt always one sided. People are just misinformed I guess.

Politics today are annoying.

Its like the fun server full of kids on pacifist mode. Instead of getting along, they would rather point fingers at each other and scream.

I like how instead of contributing anything ShotgunBob and JohnnyEpic literally quoted the two posts immediately above them, in order. It was confusing, at first, because the two latest posts were the same as the last time I had checked this thread but instead of Rarity, the poster's avatar was Rainbow Dash.
