tl;dr: Player talks like an offensive stereotype of an American conservative.

This user spent several rounds constantly talking about politics. I do not for one moment believe he is legitimate. None of the people I know who identify as conservative, even the most conservative ones, talk like he does. He's intentionally using offensive talking points to rile people up. He claims to be a Trump supporter, and is so stereotypically ignorant and offensive that I cannot believe he is real (likening liberals as Nazis, then actually doing all of the things he accused liberals of doing in voice chat).

I recognize many of the talking points that he uses. I recognize a lot of the tactics he uses. This user is a troll, and he can wreck the server if allowed to remain.

In the slight chance that he's for real, he's so offensively vulgar that he will drive people away.

1. Caz spends the entire round talking in voice chat. This has the effect of silencing the entire server because most people are too polite to ask him to shut up, and those who don't like what he has to say will just mute him. He talked almost entirely in stereotypical offensive right-wing talking points. I live in a very conservative suburb of a very conservative county in Missouri, and there are some people who have more extreme views than the ones he espoused in alltalk. However they have the sense to at least keep it to themselves and not tell everyone in a video game about it, especially not in such an aggressive and offensive manner.

2. He accused members of my party (Democratic Party) of being Nazis for protesting against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump (yesterday, Donald Trump was in California and there were protesters gathered there against him). He likened the protesters to Hitler's Brownshirts, who helped silence critics of the Nazi Party. He accused protesters of using Nazi tactics against Donald Trump; specifically, by likening him to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Ironically, his mic spamming had the indirect effect of silencing the rest of the server (see #1). When I called him out for it, he kept trying to talk over me in an attempt to silence me until I muted him (which resulted in me probably talking over him). Furthermore, the people who are most concerned about Mr. Trump being Hitler Redux are Holocaust survivors and their descendants. They feel that Mr. Trump uses similar tactics as Adolf Hitler in his presidential campaign.

Furthermore, people who protest against Trump are not all Democrats. There are a lot of Republicans who do not want him to win the nomination, let alone become President. Republican protesters protest against him because they think he's bad for the country and that he will result in an automatic loss for the Republicans this November. Democrats protest against him because they think he's bad for the country, period. I do not protest against him or say anything bad against him because I want him to win the nomination and ensure continued Democratic control of the White House.

3. Caz's trolling tactics primarily involves spouting an constant stream of bullshit: a rapid fire onslaught of lies and half-truths that take considerably more effort to debunk than for him to spout it in alltalk. There is a term for that: the Gish Gallop. Consider how all he had to say was that protesters against Donald Trump were Nazis because they were trying to silence his free speech, and how many words I have had to type in order to dispute his claim. Not debunk it, as I don't feel like having to type up a summary of American politics for non-Americans in this thread, only dispute it and say that he was wrong. When combined with his nonstop mic spam, this has the effect of silencing his critics (see #1) and making it hard for people to counter his arguments.

4. Yesterday evening, in our forum chat, several forum members expressed distaste at user Caz's voice chat. Forum regular, Lia Rein, mentioned that she didn't like playing when Caz was on. Several other forum members chimed in on Mr. Caz's behavior as well. I didn't keep a copy of the chat log (i.e. I didn't take a screenshot), but you might have a copy in whatever logs you keep. tl;dr: He pisses people off.

5. It's your server. Your call. I came here to report the facts, and that is the extent of what I will do.

Yeah Caz talks politics a lot, what kinda bugs me is when he swears and yells at his own team for not playing to his standard or whatever but it's typical over-invested gamer raging. I know he really pissed off the whole server one time recently as everyone mentioned it as soon as he left lol
People like Hooked have messaged me sometimes saying Caz is kinda bringing the server down/being annoying or just depressing them lol But idk, I guess it's just like when Jack sometimes micspams, maybe warn a couple of times and if it's bugging multiple people and they haven't muted them himself maybe mute? Or call vote mute as donator and you can see how people feel about it? I'm not sure.

Ill admit I can be a noisy talkative person, and im sure I annoy people when I talk politics or as Lia mentioned, getting mad people dont help other teammates, but dont try and silence a voice because you see it as trolling mate. I have never talked politics with the intention of trolling, nor have I done it to keep people down. I do it because it is something I am passionate about.

The way I see he was calling people who were acting like fascists, fascists. Probably a bit further and broader in the terms of terminology than they needed to go.

You're both welcome to have an opinion on what politics you like or dislike. If you don't like it muting is always a good option or asking to change the subject. As soon as you start engaging in the politics it's on you.

I find this quite ironic. Their being mad at fascists caused the thing they were mad about to happen.

Were it not for the the interesting and colorful characters on this server who I find agreeable, I would've left and never returned. Many others would've made this same decision.

The fuck are you upset about now? Balubish gave a perfectly reasonable response to the situation and you still find something to complain about? The admins here are some of the most understanding and flexible I've met on online communities. Sure they have the final say on what goes in the server, but they're people too that can be reasoned with.

I think the idea of banning people for talking politics is a step too far. But if someone is clearly trolling and harassing others and doing it to get a rise out of people, maybe us admins give a warning being like, "Hey man, we know it's your thing or whatever, but he's had enough" and just be civil about it. No need to escalate things unless it continues.
