It's not completely finished, but it's still more fun than I expected it to be. I made it starting on Thursday. Here's the pitch:

The Last Defense--You play as a deflector shield, protecting bunkers from destruction by SPACE INVADERS! Use the arrow keys to move left or right to deflect weapons fire back at the enemy to destroy the invasion.

It gets harder with each wave, but that's about it for now. It's not very visually stimulating, but I'm planning on making some nice pixel art for it.

Let me know what you think. This was my first experiment with Lua and was intended to be a very small, easy-to-make game. It turned out more fun than I expected so I figured I'd share it with y'all! You can press enter to restart the game.

Glad you guys like it. As I said, I totally had no idea it would be as fun as it is. I added some proper sprites now. I still have to create the bunker sprite, and I figure I should add a start screen. Then I'll upload the new version.

Got to wave 7, then 2 enemies got to the bottom of the screen, disappeared off the edge, kept making firing sounds, and never reappeared. Is something supposed to happen when they get to the bottom?

The new version has that lose condition programmed in. I still have to make a few more fixes for that sort of thing.

very addicting and fun, I notice that some times the bullets that are reflected stay red.

I just fixed that. Bullets were bouncing against each other so it looked like they weren't changing color. Now they are masked so that bullets can't hit each other.

I find it fun, but the bunkers should have a Sandvich defense system >:)
Dancing the night away, and then when I get bored, I go and play tfdb_float at the love nest... Again
