Currently we are sponsoring Mumble for a DayZ server. Owner Vinfinite has busted his ass and the server is currently ranked #8.
That's a big deal for DayZ. So welcome them. If you see people in Mumble, stop by and say hi.

Part of Critsandvich's commitment is helping good people foster well managed servers. Since we suck outside of TF2, let's do what we can to help make them successful.

Due to internal agreements we cannot post another groups forum, but we'll be adding a DayZ sub forum. Also expect some Zed's appearing when the standalone comes out.
In the meantime, if you own the game check out Infinite's server:
192.31.185.222:3204

And check out DayZ in general. A couple hours of the game, and you will never complain about TF2 respawn times/or having to walk to the battle EVER again. :P

Please note:
If you are coming here from their server. We cannot help you with issues. We are just a cog in the awesomeness that is the server. You must contact the server admins directly.

If you are unfamiliar with DayZ and it's implications. OK this is a mod for ARMA 2. Why I say the owner has busted his ass. Currently almost everything that happens in that game, happens client side. This means that hacking (what I call bambi copy/paste) happens to most populated servers every couple hours. DayZ is a lot about survival. And death by hackers, on the hive servers happens constantly. Vinfinite has worked very hard with scripters (good ones) and his host to prevent hacking. To the tune of 1 hacker in a month. VS a public have server which rates at 2-3 hours per hacker. That is dedication to the player base on a public server. People who play Minecraft, here, can appreciate this. Where a whitelist is essential. Vinfinite has found a middle ground, which is why the server is so successful.

Shame my PC can't handle Arma 2.
